How To Make the right choice in Everything
When we find ourselves in the position of making a choice,we’re often so overwhelmed by the possibilities life gives us,that we make the wrong choice. I once read a quote saying:
“Can you choose something, and it’s still not what you want?”
I’m pretty sure that can happen, often because we don’t know what we really want, or, even worse, when choosing,we don’t consider what we want, but what others want. We’ve gotta stop doing that.
It’s hard to choose so that everyone is happy,it’s hard to choose without hurting anyone. But there are some tricks you can pull off to take the damage to the minimum and still be happy.
1. Know your alternatives
It may seem almost obvious, but it’s not quite that simple. Once you’ll have all your options put out on paper, think of the one that would make you happier and out the number one on it. Then think the one that would make the people who you care about happy. Put on that one (or if they are more, those ones) the last number. (Eg: 10) Now try to find ideas of things that are in between.
2. TALK TO PEOPLE
Ask for advice. See what people would do if they were you. But don’t pay too much attention on that, they are not you after all. So maybe if you see yourself from other people’s perspective you’ll understand the things that matter to you and those which don’t .
3. UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU WANT
You must understand what you want to choose right. The things you choose without thinking will define what you’ll choose afterwards, as important decisions. Because you’ll always follow your instinct first. This is why you need to take long -term decisions, and not act out on emotions. Impulsivity will only make you regret after that you didn’t reflect more on your actions.
Dream,IMAGINE yourself in your situation ,living in your choice. All choices influence us in a way,big or small so don’t be shy. Make all the scenarios that you want and think. Is this what I really want? When I’ll have all this, will it be enough, will it be worth all the sacrifice? If the answers are yes, then you’re good to go.
If not, repeat all the steps again.
